The Areza Silver Foam Dressing features a sterile polyurethane (PU) foam coated with ionic silver particles, containing 0.35~0.40 mg/cm3 (17.3~20.1 mg/100cm2) of ionic silver particles This dressing offers a high absorbency for managing wound drainage in partial to full thickness wounds. The dressing provides a proper moist wound environment which is known to expedite the wound healing. Either side of the dressing can be applied to wounds and it may be applied to the cavities in wounds as well. Moreover, silver's properties enable this dressing to address biofilm and infections in wounds, which, in turn, have shown to contribute positively to wound healing. The silver's effect can last up to 7 days.
