Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) Gelling Fiber 4.25” x 4.25” (10 PCS)
Areza Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) Gelling Fiber is a primary wound dressing made of medical-grade sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, which forms a hydrophilic gel upon contact with wound fluid. The soft gel conforms to the wound bed, aids in autolytic debridement, and provides a barrier against external contaminants. Areza CMC gelling fiber uniquely absorbs the wound fluid in a vertical direction, known as "vertical absorbency," in contrast to most other dressings where the absorbed fluid spreads horizontally. Vertical absorbency may reduce the risk of skin maceration around the wound. This non-adhesive dressing is ideal for moderate to highly exuding wounds, reducing the risk of wound trauma during changes.
